It is not an understatment to say that Candy Cohn and the team at Oasis Senior Advisors quite literally saved the day. Navigating the foreign world of assisted living facilities for my mother - on my own - was overhwelming, nerve-wracking and confusing. Everything changed once I connected with Candy. She absorbed all the tough stuff yet handled all of our interactions with kindess, thoughfullness and lots of smarts. Candy's wealth of experience and insights, coupled with endless patience ad always being available to address my in-person and long-distance questions, proved invaluable. Candy has a gift for connecting with families on an authentic level and really understanding what will work best. She helpeed me look around corners, ask the right questions and ulimately, find a spectecular residnece for my mom. The bottom line is that Candy treated my mom like her own. My only regret is not connecting with Candy arlier in the process. I am thrilled wiht the results and so is my mom!

I am not even sure where to start! Making the decision to move my mother in law to a higher level of care was a difficult one. And we could find a lot of ways to procrastinate on the process. Enter my randomly finding Candy and Jack with Oasis as I was searching online for some level of clarity. Without a doubt we would still be mired in the process if we hadn’t engaged Oasis. Candy led my husband through the narrowing down of facilities and Candy and Jack both assisted in the touring and fact finding journey. At every step they were there to encourage us and ensure that we were comfortable. We feel confident that we have made the right decision for my mother in law and we are extremely grateful to Oasis for making this a smooth and pain free process. We highly highly recommend them as travel mates on this trip if you are about to embark on finding independent, assisted, or memory care for a loved one. They are exactly the right level of compassion and expertise. I am honestly not sure we could have done this without them.

I fully understand why this business is named Oasis, as when I encountered them I was stressed beyond belief with complex transitions of care for my elderly mother and they truly became my Oasis. My Mother had been living in an independent living facility for 9 years before encountering several falls. The rehab that she was in was pressuring to release her after only 5 weeks and I felt that I would need find a safe and suitable assisted living or nursing home for her. To add to the urgency, I live in NJ, so have been managing my Mom's situation at a distance or by making trips to FL, so this accelerated our timeline.

It was a stroke of luck that I found Oasis and Senior Advisor, Candi Cohn online; as her involvement changed everything to arrive at a positive outcome. I was traveling to FL in the next few days and had only 2 days to resolve my Mom's issues. Candi spent a great deal of time speaking with me to understand my Mom's needs, wants, and financial situation. Candi has deep knowledge and expertise in what Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and Long-term Care policies and payment levels are coupled with a wealth of knowledge of the assisted living residences and residential care homes. Ahead of my visit, Candi met with my Mom to understand what her physical needs are and more importantly; to understand what type of facility would best accommodate her and make her happy. After that, Candi sat in with us at the rehab center supporting a conversation that I had with the care team; which reinforced that we were actively making plans for my Mom's transition of care. With her presence, they relaxed their pressuring of us to have an immediate release of my mom until we could develop a suitable plan. Candi took me to 2 places, both of which demonstrated how well she listened to my Mom and me. While both fit the bill, I chose one with a veranda. As I stepped away from the sales agent, much like a realtor would do, Candi negotiated an "offer" for us saving us greatly on first month rent and the move-in fee. Candi has also helped connect me with individuals, who can help with Medicaid counseling, movers, and others needed to finalize my mom's future. Altogether, in one afternoon, Candi singlehandedly lifted stress from me and my family. She found a future residence for my Mom that I think will give her a chance at renewed happiness, despite increased physical limitations. Candi's advisement was a gamechanger and saved me countless hours of research and visits on my own; which likely would never have landed us in such a good place. My only regret is that I hadn't met Candi and Oasis Advisors years ago, as I feel that my Mom would've been happier had we known all that she shared with us.

I can't recommend Candi and Oasis Advisors enough. As they are a franchise, I would suggest Oasis's services to anyone who needs advisement with wonderful compassion and caring from professionals who truly deliver.
