Since I recently joined this senior center, I haven't used the facility yet. But, Rose at the front desk is so caring. She answered all of our questions with a warm smile. I signed up for 8 classes over the next several weeks. The facility is beautifully built and maintained and we're blessed to have such a facility.

This facility is amazing! I go there nearly everyday now. Lots of computer/ iPhone classes, a chair volleyball team, pickle ball( soon
to have brand new pickle ball courts, state of the art exercise equipment, art classes and more. Free lunch daily, on-site nutritionist and an on-site nurse, local field trips and much more. At least 10 electric vehicle charging stations. Steps away from the Walker Ranch section of Hardberger Park. Short walk to/from VIA bus stops(#602). I recommend joining the moment you turn 60 years old. Fun, Fun, Fun!

Wow. I accompanied my 80+ mom to this senior center, and we were both very impressed. The center is a beautiful building with lots of natural light and views of nature from the park next door. There were so many happy and active seniors walking around and conversing. We were immediately warmly greeted by the front desk staff, and they welcomed mom and showed us around. They have so many activities to do for seniors! From board/table games and pool, a full gym with exercise classes for all levels. They have a free lunch, art classes, movie days, field trips, computer classes, and so much more and all free for Bexar County residents 65 and up.
My mom was very hesitant to go at first because she had expectations that senior centers were similar to a hospice, with older folk in their last stages of life. WALKER RANCH IS NOTHING LIKE THAT. I will NEVER FORGET my moms face light up when three different women her age approached her, greeted her with smiles, and struck up instant conversations. They promised her she would thoroughly enjoy being there and hoped to see her soon. Mom was alive again, smiling and happy she made friends. Mom was so excited that when we got home, she read and reread all the activities on their calendar and highlighted all the different things she wanted to do. This was the first time I've seen mom excited to participate in something since pops passed away three months back. There is no reason seniors need to be alone and bored with places like this. Brand new facility just opened August 1st 2022 just off of West avenue , hour's 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Their fitness classes-r great for cardiovascular and high blood pressure. You need to be registered first to use the facility. Reservations are required for classes by calling or showing up in person at least a day before. It's okay to call a couple hours before someone may have canceled.. either way you need to arrive 15 minutes before your class you will collect a ticket / number and lineup for your class. Don't be late, can't hold slots. Fitness and dance classes are 45 minutes long. They have field trips, a workout gym ,pool tables, movies ,free meals serve daily. They have courses to learn computers & mobile phones, arts,crafts,board games, bingo, lounging areas, and more .. wheelchair accessible, plenty of parking, friendly and professional staff.

Incredible modern & clean facility. Seniors treated like valuable members of society. Awesome daily lunch privided by Meals on Wheels. All the exercise equipment & activities you could possibly want. Love everything about it.

This center is clean and most of the equipment is always working . They have plenty of activities for seniors to participate in. Their lunch menu is good and the food is always the right temperature hot and cold items
