I’ve been looking for assistance for my mother. Seniors choosing to live at home answered right away. They have been amazing with my mom! Just what we needed for my mom to feel comfortable! Would recommend them to anyone looking for their loved one’s! Easy process caring Christian company.

We used this service a few years ago for my mother. I reviewed it then, but it has since been deleted. They do not appropriately screen, nor train their employees. The caregivers sent were different each time, usually late, and did nothing but sit on their phones or smoke outside. We had one caregiver that would report that he was there and leave after 30 minutes and I had to provide camera clips proving it. They would all mark things off the care plan and not do them. Money and jewelry were stolen. Bank and phone accounts were opened in her name. Several of the caregivers sent to our home had criminal and violent backgrounds. When my mother would become agitated or confused, the caregiver would just leave and not return the next day. Be very cautious when using this company.

Seniors Choosing to Live at Home has been the perfect answer for my mother! We had to quickly make a shift from a respite stay at a local facility to home, and they accommodated us on the spot. We continued to use their services and realized that this is what is working best for my mother. We've had a couple of instances where my father was hospitalized, and we needed extended hours for my mother. With no questions asked, the schedulers were right on top of things and helped my sister and I out immensely. Once my father returns home, the caregivers have watched out for both of my parents. I can't say enough about the help we have received from this company! The communication is great! Some care givers go above and beyond and I can never thank them enough! Thank you to Seniors for caring for my mother (and sometimes my father)!

I contacted Seniors Choosing to Live at Home asking if they could get a 24 hour care schedule for my mom as soon as possible. I was absolutely amazed that they were able to get it in place by the next day! I was trying to get her into a Rehab facility and it took about 10 days to get that in place and it was check day by day. I had to made daily calls to Seniors Choosing to Live at Home to keep adding a day or two. They were able to work with me and keep coverage for her at all times. I don't know what I would have done without them during this difficult time. Mom was very happy with the staff that came. Besides attending to her needs many of the staff also changed her bed, did laundry, cleaned her refrigerator out, etc. Thanks again to everyone who helped me from beginning to end at Seniors Choosing to Live at Home!

I recently needed extra help caring for my mom, and this company has been a godsend. The staff is friendly and the variety of caregivers have all been wonderful. What I most appreciate, is that even when I schedule someone at the eleventh hour, SCLH has graciously accommodated last minute requests or changes. I wish there could be more consistency with who is sent to help ( my mother has favorites), but understand that it isn’t always possible.

This is the place to call when you need someone to help care for a loved one. I called many other places in New Bern and couldn't get anyone else to even come out for an assessment. Derreck from SCTLAH was at my mother's house the next day!

They are quick to set up a care plan and get someone helping. And they show up when they say they will. After the frustration of other local options I can't tell you how relieved I was to find this company. Everyone has been incredibly kind and the price is very reasonable. You can tell they actually care about helping the person in need. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to every one I know.
