Large grocery store in Lombard by well known brand Jewel Osco. Their Produce quality is pretty good. Their hot chicken is not that great.
Lots of varieties to choose from in every section.
But having so many varieties means it is hard to find what you are looking for.
Check out is pretty smooth and fast.
Large parking lot in the front.
It has a pharmacy too.

The employees are very friendly with each other but not with the customers. There were no bags at self check out and I had to fend for myself. When I said I changed my mind on an item and gave it to a woman employee at check out she just took it. Didn't.. make eye contact and acted like I did something wrong.

I like the sales and that's why I got there. I have other stores I prefer but Jewel is closer so I go there when I need things quickly.

Besides being horribly overpriced because they can, the cashier purposely did the "satisfaction survey" before I had a chance to enter my number for the "savings". When questioned what she entered, she responded "all 10s". This is horrible practice, deprives the customer of actually telling the store the true feelings while simultaneously padding their own metrics

The aisles are crowded with the workers doing the online orders. Every "sale" is locked behind needing to purchase multiples. Several empty carts seemingly abandoned in middle of aisles.

This is the absolute worst Jewel Osco I have ever shopped at. I would give 0 stars if that were an option. Nick and the old blonde woman with black glasses in self checkout are completely incompetent and have no customer service skills. Seems like employ absolutely anyone here and they lack any sort of comprehension and problem solving skills. This location will never be getting my business again.

Auto Executive

Stopped over to buy few items from grocery and dairy. All the bananas were fully ripe and I wasn’t sure if I take them they would last til the next day. I still did but smaller bunch. After getting all the items I see that there was a large line and only one cashier was open. It’s 9:AM on Wednesday. I waited in line and it was not comfortable. The cashier and her colleagues were complaining about how the manager was disrespectful and yelling on ladies employees. There were quite a few grievances amongst them. Wish them well.

Hours after my review I Received a reply to my review and it was nothing but a typical response by a hired gun. A social media companies who are hired by these companies to help in reviews just to show a fake front of customer service or like they really care. I find it insulting to say the least. I rather have no reply than a fake reply.

I had the worst experience at self checkout. Some old white lady 60+ was very rude to me and made me feel bad about myself. She needs to go through training for how to treat a customer!

I went into this jewel to shop and when I got to self service to check out I asked for assistance. So this Asian guy walks up to help me because my items werent coming off at the register so he was getting loud with me in front of everyone saying that he gave me a $1:00 off when it should have been more money off so then he suspends my transaction then he start telling me I don't have enough money so I started putting stuff back and when I looked into my account to see my balance I did have enough money to buy everything and he calls his self the assistant store manager I think his behavior towards a customer( myself) needs to get him a few days off until he learns how to talk to customers. I used to work as a cashier for jewel and when a customer complained to the district manager I got my hours cut and this Asian wanna be says he's in a top position "unbelievable".

Was short .55 cents on my order told the guy running self checkout at 2:15pm on 7/24/24 that I had to run to my car to get change because I was a little short. He made me cancel my whole order because it was “too busy” there was no line… he was extremely rude and you could tell he hates his job. I had my 3 year old with me and the last thing I wanted to do was shop all over again for my order. From now on I will give my business elsewhere like Aldi down the road, way friendlier service and better prices. Jewel sucks!!
