Visited today for AARP Tax Return Filing Assistance. First come, first serve. They were well organized and I only waited less than 5 minutes at any of the 3 stations.

Moderate price for activities, such as Bridge, Hearts, Scrabble, some tchotchkes and clothing. There's food pantry next door so very busy area 8am though noonish. First Saturday of the month they have volunteers that will do haircuts for no charge. And offer lunch of sometimes hot dogs or hamburgers a salad, Some Other sides, drinks and cookies.

My 88 year old mother and I go to the North Port Senior Center every Monday to play Rummikub. Very nice center, the people playing are very welcoming and friendly. The managers are fabulous! I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a place to socialize.

Its a dump. It appears to be a one room activity center. They advertise a class then after driving 15 miles, when you arrive, they say its been canceled for a Lunchen. ? One would think that an area full of retired people would have world class facilities for a geriatric population?

Being a resident of North Port and over 55 I have enjoyed the Duplicate Bridge they offer on Monday + Wednesday are sanctioned games and Friday's duplicate bridge game is competitive, but not sanctioned.

This sr center is small with limited space and activities but they make most of what they have with lunches ..exercise groups .. Card groups.. Limited clothing n book sales. .. Free movies monthly .. And twice weekly during season taxes done for free.
