We used this company to hire help for my 85 year old mother as she cared for my 87 year old father with dementia and mobility issues. After a few hiccups in the beginning where we did not understand before hiring them that there were some tasks they would not do, like help mom organize and other small household chores to run the house, we settled into a rhythm and our helper Shawn was a big help to us. When my mom had to travel out of town for a couple of weeks for a family emergency, we called for additional days of help and Senior Helpers did their best to quickly provide the additional help we needed. The aides they sent were always on time and dependable, (although one of them told us she didn’t cook.) They are completely professional and I believe they care about their business, but in my opinion, the office staff could come across a little lacking in compassion sometimes. For instance, a couple of times my dad was hospitalized and I had to cancel. I always told them why I was cancelling. They would cancel him and not charge me for that day (even on short notice) but I would have liked to hear “I hope he feels better soon” or something like that. The professionally trained aides they sent really seemed to care about my parents, and my sister and I rested easier knowing they were there. I would recommend Senior Helpers with the few caveats mentioned and thank them for everything.

Staff are tailored to fit your needs, Senior Helpers took care of my dad for about 18 months and currently my father and mother in law who live with us. They are truly skilled in caring for the elderly both physically and emotionally. We could not ask for better service.

Just as important, when issues come up and they always do, both the on-site staff and senior management have handled everything wonderfully. Management has also been super in assisting with managing insurance which was initially a tremendous burden.

I hired Senior Helpers from Minnesota, to take care of a gentleman that I was traveling with. His bucket list vacation included a week stay at the Fountainbleau. I knew dealing with the gentleman's medications and personal needs was going to be tough, and it was. Thank goodness Senior Helpers sent Rolando every morning for two hours to help my client shower, dress, toilet and take his meds. Rolando somehow found cheap parking, and promptly arrived at 7 a.m. every day to get my client ready. That way my client was buffed and smelling good to start each day! Rolando had a remarkably upbeat personality despite my very challenging client, and got his mood into shape as well as his person. Rolando recommended some great restaurants, and gave us a bit of insider info to make out trip that much more special.
