Awesome, amazing, etc…

The concept: no membership fee squash courts, a wide variety of classic and clinics, and a bar. Smack downtown.

Given there’s no membership fees, lessons and court rentals are likely higher than you’d pay elsewhere. But they get around that with packages, including subscriptions, which can greatly reduce the cost of lessons and clinics.

Having recently gotten back into squash after a long, long delay… the sport couldn’t ask for a better ambassador than Pascal. He’s funny, gives really good feedback (even in group classes), and creates a wonderful environment for beginners. Other instructors I’ve had are good as well, but he certainly looks after the newbies.

Facilities are clean, the community is fantastic (parents bring their dogs to watch their kids play on Saturdays…) and the bar has pretty solid (for a bar in a squash club) food.

It’s just a wonderful concept really well executed

Played at Squash on Fire several times during a recent business trip. Facility is very nice and courts there are fantastic. I signed up for a clinic and a Play the Pro session. I couldn’t recommend booking a Play the Pro session with club pro Chad Smith more highly. Enjoyed it so much I signed up for a one on one lesson with Chad the next day. Been playing for almost 20 years and Chad still had some things to show me. Plus, he’s super friendly and great to work on court with…and I could tell he really loves squash. SoF gets five stars and Chad gets six.

One of the finest courts in the Washington DC metro area. I have always enjoyed playing here, specially the "Sunday evening league" where it's fun to play and socialize with others. No membership is required, just pay for an hour or your selected timeslot and play as much as you like.

My husband and daughter come here regularly. It's on the 2nd level, accessible by elevator.

Pasquale is the best teacher in town! He's great with kids and adults both.

There's a bar in the front that has some great options for refreshments.

Parking is hard, but they can't help that. Plan to arrive early and read the signs carefully.

The best squash facility in the DMV! The courts are immaculate and the staff are the most professional and responsive you'll find - especially Will! Great programs for kids and adults, beginner to pro circuit. They make it fun and friendly. Their booking system is also the best I've ever seen - very easy to reserve court time, lessons, clinics, etc!

I started learning and playing squash as part of my WRAP rehab and to get out of my comfort zone. As I took so many beginner level classes, I wanted to learn new techniques, observe and practice the next level, and to interact with other players for the first time. Unfortunately, the clinic with Pascal was discouraging and harsh to me. Instead of helping to get the best out of me, he made me stressed, nervous, distracted, and less confident because he harshly gave me the feeling that I am not a good player all the time. He was unable to teach in other circumstance or even encourage the player to get back to the game mentally before the physical move. It was the worst session for me, made me hating the game instead of advancing my skills for better performance or at least to be more confident while interacting with other people.

At the end, he was insisting that I should not move to the other step because I don’t fit there, even though my intention was to learn something new to move forward. His way of communication was very frustrating giving me the feeling that I should never play this game again! I truly hated it.
