My mother was admitted at Sterling Suites for rehab 3 days post op for a hip revision. They were unable to provide pain or her regular medications for almost 24 hours after arriving. Because of needing 2 nurses to check out narcotics, she had no pain medication. If you are not able to provide pain medications, you shouldn't be caring for new post ops!!
The food was inedible..I mean BAD. My elderly father had to bring in nearly every meal. The room was never mopped or dusted in the 2 weeks she was there. The phone didn't work and the bed was so hard, he was forced to sleep in a lift chair her entire stay.
On a better note, the staff was great and did well working with a skeleton crew and PT and OT were superb!
Although, the staff was awesome, the other issues will make us think twice about recommending Sterling Suites to others.

I stayed at Sterling Suites 12/22 after neck surgery and 5/23 after breaking my pelvis in an accident. Both stays were fantastic and I was very well taken care of. From aides to therapists everyone was great. Very highly recommended. I hope to return 8/23 after shoulder replacement surgery. Mark Skinner

My father was at Sterling Suites 10 yrs ago when he broke his hip. It was amazing then.
When he broke his other hip that's where he was so happy to go back there. Boy, did 10yrs make a difference. He got a bed sore from being left in bed without being move every 2 hours. When they started his therapy they had him in his recliner. Which he got left in rest of the day, the afternoon and most of the evening & night. He wasn't allowed to get up by himself so that's where he got left all that time. He'd be in that recliner all that time. Our Dad had to call my sister at 10:30pm to have her call up there to have them put him in bed. When she called they told her he was in bed. My sister asked them if he was in bed then why did he call her. They said they, "thought" he was in bed.
That wasn't even the worst part. They weren't giving him his heart, diabetes, sugar or his thyroid meds.
I wouldn't have a
second thought about NOT recommending that place to another family. He's the only Dad we have and we need him.

My brother in law was here recently. Very good staff but very understaffed! Was supposed to get physical therapy, got it once. We went to visit one day and you could hear him yelling from the front door, his nurses light was blinking when we arrived to find him about to fall from his chair, we helped him back up and 20 minutes later someone showed up and asked what he wanted. Wow! This place used to be nice, needs a good cleaning, paint and definitely new furniture, his chair and bed were nasty. Would not recommend this place for your loved ones!

Sterling Suites was a fantastic place for me! I needed P.T. to gain my strength after being sick and in the hospital and Sterling Suites gave me Physical therapy seven days a week and the therapists were great. I also had O.T. Ordered, but after a few days it was not needed. Even the food was good and if I did not want what they were having, they fixed me something else. My suite was comfortable and large and I had no complaints.

we just got my father home from your facility. he was there for about 10 days. when they would take him to therapy, he told them he was short of breath. they would check his oxygen level, and send him on his way. never did anything about it. we went to pick him up at noon today. the nurse practitioner released him without even seeing him . when we said we wanted him checked out, they made us wait for 5 hours. ( the nurse practitioner said they had lots of others to see ) . she was rude when she finally came into the room. saying that we waited untill discharge day to say anything, --- and that nothing was noted on his charts... I know for a fact that he mentioned many times to them that he was short of breath, -- it never got charted !! I am very upset that shortness of breath was not concerning to anyone here !! I would never recommend this place.

A bit of a step back in time, no WiFi and phone reception is one bar, but facility is clean and employees who are there daily are great. Physical Therapy provided by Tom Denius is personalized and unmatched. You could improve you service and the experience of the short term resident by spending $150 a month and providing WiFi.
