Thank-you to all staff of Summerland Seniors Village for their person centred approach from care, to the recreation social events, the food, cleaning staff and the front desk which makes your visit and the residents questions always a priority.
1. Care Staff are Kind and Efficient also promote person centered care about our loved one.
2. Care Staff does not get enough credit, they do internally, we externally really need to appreciate the staff. Right form the front Desk, our Care Team, Nurses, and the recreation team, the Kitchen and the amazing meals they prepare and the serving staff. They are all exceptional.
3. The care staff goes above and beyond, its not easy for anyone in this role but they smile stand proud, are well trained in their scope of practice and give great person care and adjust to familys and outings on a daily basis.
4. The quality of care is 5 star, everyone is so approachable with questions you may have. Interesting that when I phone they know exactly where my mom is. How many Care facilities can say that.
5. Quality of care from medications, taking their Blood pressure, to baths etc.. my Mom loves it there the staff and the residents. Everyone is kind.
6. They have developed an amazing culture right from the front desk, to the great social activities, the kitchen and the great menu, and never seen a problem with the statement. If I have a question they get back to me right away and, I would like to point out maybe if you take a moment and understand your statement you will ask the correct questions as they are great at explaining the statement to you.

Thank you Summerland Seniors Village as I know our mom is happy, safe and getting the best care we could ever ask for.
We are grateful to have our mom there. Also a big Thank-you to everyone that works in all capacities at Summerland Senior Village.

I’m the youngest tenant here, and wanted to say thank you to Harley and the team here for providing such a warm and friendly new home. Service is fantastic. My kids love Rosanna and Laurie. Clean and comfortable, housekeeping does a great job. Dog friendly is SUCH a great option.

The staff at SSV are amazing, incredible, and most importantly, they are kind. They were so helpful when we needed to move my mom in quickly, and have really helped set my mom up for success. I would 100% recommend SSV.

This facility is simply amazing! Such a gem, right in our small town Summerland. There is definitely a feeling of being in a grand hotel the minute you walk in. The sheer vastness of the building takes your breath away! Staff are accommodating, friendly, compassionate and willing to go the extra mile in providing excellent service. The grounds are always well maintained and the cleanliness within is impeccable. SSV has played an instrumental part to our community by taking in evacuees from floods, other facilities in need and fires over the years. It truly is a campus of care!

My parents were long time Penticton residents and were at the stage where they desperately needed to be in assisted living. We toured a couple of facilities in Penticton and drove by others. All had extensive wait lists. We heard about Summerland Seniors Village and my wife and I did a drive by before taking my folks up. We loved the look and took my parents up for a tour. They were immediately impressed and we had them moved in a week later. They have been there almost a year now, my stepfather's health has deteriorated faster than expected and we were fortunate to be able to get him into long term care in the same building so my folks are able to see each other daily. We as a family have been impressed with the staff and the facility and it has taken a huge burden off of us as we live out of province. My folks doctor was in Penticton but with stepfather going into long term care he needed a local doctor which was arranged and he also took on my mother. My folks are very pleased with the new doctor as are we. As luck would have it, they made contact with Laurie K. who is a private companion. She has been most helpful in so many ways. All said, we are so grateful to have found SSV.

I am the POA and representative for a friend of 45 years. She has been in LTC at Summerland Seniors Village for over 4 years. She is treated with love and respect by all staff members, from the wonderful admin team, to the General Manager, to the care team. I am always informed and updated on how my friend is doing and any changes to her needs. I am so grateful to the whole team for making this her home. Thank you to everyone.

My mom has lived in assisted living now for 6 years, n she loves it there! Staff r wonderful, like family! Never a dull moment, dancing, music, bingo, dominoes, happy hour, etc! FYI, if mom is happy, so is her family!❤️

I have a very good friends mom that is living there and when I visited I was so impressed with the friendliness of the staff plus the beautiful flowered patio out front and the gorgeous green space in their courtyard. They even have a horseshoe pit! Love it!
