For two years now I have been selected to receive a Xmas Basket from The Good Companions. Unfortunately, I have waited and waited for such a delivery each year based on their provided delivery time frames for me. In fact each year I've remained home all day. My buzzer never rang, I never got a call nor a knock ony door. I was looking forward to such a delivery as I live alone, I have no money, and I haven't been able to buy for Xmas. The waiting has been highly stressful I couldn't leave comma and I couldn't receive any phone calls in case The Good companions was trying to call me. For me this organization not providing drivers with an alternate contact info and not hearing from a driver to inform me what their delivery status is or calling me to inform me they can't deliver today is another huge issue that I've developed with this company's procedures.

Good Companions has been a Godsend after my stroke and recovery. Kind and helpful staff assisting my cognitive challenges. Delicious, healthy meals delivered which helped my no longer driving a car. Their transportation for my healthcare appointments especially with Terry as a driver were phenomenbal, i.e. reliable, punctual, safe, a social outing and he4 with his encyclopedia knowledge on Ottawa

I'm so thankful to be living in Ottawa and being a member of this wonderful organization. They provide help to seniors who are in need of services such as transportation, grocery shopping, activities, exercise programs , social gatherings and many more.

Because of them, I am able to remain in my home.

This Thanksgiving is the best time to thank the whole team and let them know how grateful I am♥️

I moved from Ottawa to the country and cannot join anymore.
Thank you all for the good years, the great and caring people , the good food
